At Café Creperie it is our pleasure to provide our guests with delicious and healthy food, in an artistic and musical atmosphere. We are known for being a friendly and cozy place for people to relax and feel at home.
We are so thankful to the locals, many who visit us daily, and to our new friends who walk in and enjoy our little café for the first time. We also have many international visitors who make a point of coming back to see us when they come to Ontario.
After 25 years of full time teaching, our owner, Jacques Dion, decided to return to his passion for cooking. He grew up enjoying crepes in Quebec and also while travelling throughout France.
When the Café Creperie first opened its doors in May of 2009, Jacques’ 92 year-old mother-in-law, Simone, came from Paris to support him and share her best recipes. Simone passed away in January of 2015 but her spirit and Joie de vivre lives on in the delicious crepes that are her legacy.
OUR STAFF
Jacques’ character and charm have brought smiles and warmed the hearts of so many who have come to know him over the years. He is also well known for his generosity and spontaneity and loves to treat guests to our house special dark chocolate truffles.
We are so grateful to have employed many of Centre Wellingtons’ people of all ages who have worked hard for us over the years. They have helped build our café into the happy little hub it is today.
THE CAFÉ CREPERIE AND ELORA EXPERIENCE
Visiting Café Creperie is a beautiful way to discover and enjoy the quaint and scenic loveliness of Elora. Elora is a very desirable tourist attraction as it is situated in the heart of the famous Elora Gorge with a famous waterfall called the Tooth of Time, overlooked by an old mill, unique little boutiques and shops and is an art and music mecca. You can hardly walk anywhere in town, from spring to late fall, without enjoying artists painting on street corners, in the parks, along the river or hearing the folksy sounds of our many local musicians who enjoy playing outdoors. The quaint old Gorge Cinema is Canada's oldest continuously running repertory theatre. The Elora Mill is Ontario's only remaining five-story mill and is currently being renovated to include accomodation, shops, conference & banquet rooms and dining facilites. "Shakespeare In The Park" delights locals and tourists every summer, right across from our cafe. Sit down, relax and enjoy the Elora Community Theatre.
Before or after visiting the the spectacular views of the famous Elora Gorge and town of Elora, we are ready to look after you and complete your perfect day. We are happy to be nestled in this picturesque little piece of heaven on earth!
